The brand „Klammeraffe“ has its roots in Germany, specifically in a small town near Munich.
It was founded by the company „New’s Optic Inh. Pamela Langer“, a family run business since 2005, specialized in the wholesale of ready-made reading glasses.
While regular glasses already established themselves as a statement piece that allowed everyone to express their personality and style, one type of glasses was conspicuously absent: ready-made reading glasses.
They knew that reading glasses also deserved to be fashionable!
Their mission: to give classic reading glasses a new lease of life with modern designs, a variety of colors, high-quality workmanship and a smart functionality.
Klammeraffe (= Our glasses are named after a species of monkey known for its long arms. These enable the monkeys to hang on effortlessly anywhere.)
