Hi, I’m Marie-Sophie.

For me, my journey already started at home while growing up.

Watching my parents - both opticians - pour their heart and knowledge into something simple yet powerful every day:


While regular glasses already established themselves as a statement piece that allowed everyone to express their personality and style, one type of glasses was conspicuously absent: ready-made reading glasses.

But they knew that reading glasses also deserved to be fashionable! Their mission: to give classic reading glasses a new lease of life with modern designs, a variety of colors, high-quality workmanship and a smart functionality. 

Their brand was born: Klammeraffe


When I visited the UAE last year, one thing immediately caught my eye. No functional or stylish ready-made reading glasses between all these well dressed people! No local brand that stands out for affordable as well as high quality eyewear for everyone!


That was the moment I knew: Klammeraffe has to go Middle East.

But that’s not all! Today you will also find sunglasses and blue-light glasses - especially designed with teenagers and young adults in mind. Because functional, affordable and fashionable eyewear should adapt to every stage of life, just like style does!
